FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of producing a tobacco flavoring liquid, a tobacco flavoring liquid, a method of producing an ester compound and a smoking article, which contains tobacco flavoring liquid. Method of producing tobacco flavoring liquid involves extracting a component from a starting tobacco material using an organic solvent to thereby obtain a liquid containing a tobacco component and mixing the tobacco component-containing liquid with an aqueous solution comprising a basic substance and an alcohol, in oxygen-containing atmosphere for reaction of the liquid containing a tobacco component with an aqueous solution to obtain a tobacco flavoring liquid. Aqueous solution is a mixed solution of an aqueous solution of a basic substance and an alcohol, wherein the basic substance is present in the aqueous solution of the basic substance at concentration of 0.01 to 5 n. Proportion of the volume of the alcohol in the sum of the volume of the liquid containing the tobacco component and the volume of the aqueous solution ranges from 2.0 to 28.6 %. Reaction is carried out for a period of time from 1 to 60 minutes with agitation.

EFFECT: obtaining a tobacco flavoring liquid with an increased amount of various ethyl esters, id est creation of tobacco flavoring liquid, which preserves initial aroma of initial tobacco material and has aroma intensified by esters.
