FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and a method for detecting and isolating failures in an air signal system with non-protruding pressure receivers. The system contains a set of pressure sampling holes located in a nose cone of a spacecraft, at least three pressure sensors, a set of sensor interface modules, electronic circuits, and a flight control computer. To detect and isolate failures, faulty pressure sensors are determined by cross-comparing at least three pressure indicators between two nearest neighbors selected in a certain way at each pressure sampling hole relatively to predefined thresholds on each circle. A blocked or failed sensor is isolated, if measured values are greater than the required threshold value.
EFFECT: accuracy and reliability of measurements are improved.
