SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet used as a material for iron cores of transformers, in particular transformers with a tape core. The sheet includes a base steel sheet, an intermediate layer that is in contact with the base steel sheet and is mainly silica, and an insulating coating that is in contact with the intermediate layer and is mainly composed of phosphate and colloidal silica. The main steel sheet has a chemical composition containing, wt.%: C: 0.085 or less, Si: 0.80-7.00, Mn: 0.05-1.00, acid-soluble Al: 0.010-0.065, N: 0, 0040 or less, S: 0.0100 or less, B: 0.0005-0.0080, and a residue composed of Fe and impurities, and BN with an average particle size of 50-300 nm present on the surface layer of the intermediate layer, while the ratio of the major axis to the minor axis BN is 1.5 or less.

EFFECT: electrical sheet has excellent insulating coating adhesion and low iron loss.
