FIELD: engineering elements.
SUBSTANCE: proposed in the invention is a rotation-preventing spacer with transverse keys for use in a gas turbine engine (100). The compressor assembly disk (220) may have a ring (240) with transverse keys, having multiple keys (241), gears, or teeth alternating with multiple gaps (242) forming a surface (260) with transverse keys. The keys or gears of the surface with transverse keys can engage with the corresponding gears (243) made on the spacer (230) of the compressor assembly rotor (210). The gears of the spacer in combination with the gears or keys of the ring with transverse keys can prevent relative rotation of the spacer (230) and the disk (221) of the compressor.
EFFECT: above gives special advantages in transient modes, such as a start and shutdown of the gas turbine engine.
