FIELD: hydrocarbon fuels purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of purification of hydrocarbon fuels. A filtering-water-separating element (FWSE) is proposed, containing a filter layer placed in the direction of the flow of the fuel being cleaned, sandwiched between the end caps, made of two layers of paper with a decrease in the pore size along the fuel flow, the first coagulating layer, made in the form of a mat of glass fibers with a diameter of 1, 5-2 microns, wound on a perforated cylinder and compressed with a fiberglass mesh with a mesh size of 1.6×2.5 mm, the second coagulating layer is made of needle-punched material "Rudfil" with a surface density of 270-285 g/m2, on which cotton is stretched a tube with a force that ensures an increase in the size of its cells up to 1.2-1.5 from the original, and a water-repellent layer, at the same time, it additionally contains a removable layer of sintered bleaching clay with a thickness of 12-21 mm, a porosity of 31-48% and an average pore diameter of 85 mcm, placed in front of the filter layer and clamped in the annular grooves of the additionally introduced covers installed on the outside of the FWSE end caps.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of FWSE, while maintaining the requirements for the quality of cleaning.
