FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to devices for securing a transported motorcycle. The device includes a base of the device, the first and second vertical elements of the beam type, lower and upper latches, a blocking unit, a lock unit. The blocking unit is made with the possibility of smooth lowering down of the upper latch. The lock assembly for holding the lower latch and the upper latch in the closed position is made in the form of a lock of the latch connected to the lever of the locking mechanism. The base of the device and the first vertical element of the beam type are connected telescopically and fixed with two tie bolts. A method of using a device for securing a transportable motorcycle, in accordance with which longitudinal and lateral support is performed to secure the motorcycle in a vertical position. Support is performed with preliminary adjustment of the height of fastening to the motorcycle footboard, in the mating bolted connection of the device base and the first vertical beam-type element of the mounting support beam. The support is performed by adjusting the width of the fastening between the two devices.
EFFECT: simplification of motorcycle fixation for transportation is achieved.
