FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering, namely, to machines using cable traction as the critical element in terms of safe operation. The invention is aimed at solving the task of increasing the safety of cable traction machines by means of the use of computer vision and artificial intelligence when performing visual and dimensional control for assessment of the technical condition of a steel cable.
EFFECT: creation of an IoT product for finding defects detected by means of computer vision and artificial intelligence based on photo and video model analytics by deep machine learning in neural networks, followed by an integral assessment of the technical condition of the cable by risk analysis methods in terms of suitability thereof for further safe operation, which is interpreted into a colour scale for mobile apparatus of users and maintenance personnel.
