FIELD: fire-fighting.
SUBSTANCE: method for detecting a fire and determining the coordinates thereof relates to multifactorial monitoring of fire hazard by means of an aspiration fire detector containing a controller with two air duct branches, with air intakes made therein, equal and adjacent. One branch is equipped with an electrically controlled air valve installed at the output of the first branch; the second branch is equipped with an adjustable throttle valve installed at the output of the second branch. Variable-speed transportation of the controlled gas and air mixture via the branches is ensured by means of preconfiguration. By the duration of delay of fire signals occurring between the arrival of a first signal transmitted via a higher-speed channel and the arrival of a second signal transmitted via a lower-speed channel, the combustion and the coordinates of the point of occurrence thereof are determined by the means of the programme integrated in the controller.
EFFECT: ensured detection and location of fires.
