FIELD: waste treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of industrial waste, namely to the processing of a catalyst for cracking petroleum hydrocarbons. The method involves mixing the catalyst with ammonium fluoride, at a mass ratio of the catalyst and ammonium fluoride of 1:1.5-1:2, heating to a temperature T1 = 190-220°C and sintering for 90-120 minutes until the powder is formed. The resulting powder is heated to a temperature of T2 = 375-425°C and kept until complete sublimation of ammonium hexafluorosilicate and ammonium fluoride, then the resulting residue is treated with water or an aqueous solution of KOH, filtered and dried at a temperature of T3 = 80-110°C.
EFFECT: method for processing the spent cracking catalyst is simplified while reducing the excess of the fluorinating agent and concentrating REM by 17-20 times compared to the feedstock.
