SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of marine underwater weapons, in particular to torpedo. The torpedo, used by a submarine for the creation of polynya in an ice field in order to provide emerging of the submarine to an above-water position, consists of a combat compartment with explosive, an engine, a propulsor, and a control system. The torpedo is additionally equipped with an additional tank with luminescent paint, which, after the blasting of the ice field by the torpedo, covers the lower surface of crashed ice and defines a place of polynya formation. The defined place in known distance and bearing allows for the submarine to assuredly determine an emerging place, using standard technical means – underwater television.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility of the determination of a polynya creation place and safe emerging of a submarine.
