SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of robotics; it can be used in flexible production modules. The module contains a processing system, a material flow system, and an information system, while the material flow system includes a manipulator controlled by the information system, made with the possibility of automatic replacement of a tool of the processing system. At the same time, the manipulator is equipped with an optical detecting device with the possibility of registration of the arrangement of tools in a storage device, which is made with the possibility of positioning without binding to a certain place in a working zone of the manipulator during the replacement of a tool, and the optical detecting device is made with the possibility of registration of at least one tag located on the storage device, relatively to which a position of the tool is determined by the information system. A method for the replacement of a tool in such a module is also proposed.

EFFECT: use of inventions allows for increasing the reliability of module operation.
