SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for fractionation of oil residues. Described is a method for vacuum fractionation of oil residues, including vacuum distillation of heated oil residue in a complex vacuum column with supplied water vapour, wherein demineralised water is supplied to the lower part of the distillation section of the complex vacuum column instead of part of the water vapour until the temperature of vacuum residue in the bottom of the complex vacuum column is reduced to no more than 350°C.
EFFECT: intensified process of vacuum distillation of oil residue.
