FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical industry, in particular, to the development of compounds containing lithium chlorides, bromides, carbonates, and sulphates, applied as molten electrolytes in chemical current sources. Molten electrolyte for a chemical current source, including lithium bromide and lithium sulphate, additionally contains lithium carbonate Li2CO3 and lithium chloride, at the following ratio of components, % wt.: lithium chloride 12.5…13.7, lithium bromide 25.1…26.1, lithium carbonate 38.9…40.4, lithium sulphate 20.9…22.4.
EFFECT: reduction in the specific enthalpy and the melting point.
