FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanically aerated emulsion explosives and to related methods. A method for the manufacture of an emulsion explosive includes obtaining an emulsion matrix containing a dispersed phase of drops of a salt-oxidizer solution in a continuous phase of fuel, wherein the initial viscosity of the emulsion matrix is from 4000 cP to 20,000 cP, mechanical introduction of gas bubbles into the emulsion matrix for sensitization of the emulsion matrix and formation of an emulsion explosive, and homogenization of the emulsion explosive with the formation of a homogenized emulsion explosive with a viscosity of 80,000 cP or more, not containing additives for stabilization of gas bubbles. A homogenized emulsion explosive is proposed, manufactured by the above-mentioned method.
EFFECT: obtaining a homogenized emulsion explosive not containing additives for stabilization of gas bubbles.
