SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and is used to store backup self-rescuers and protect underground personnel from the effects of harmful factors of the mine atmosphere when switching to backup self-rescuers during the exit from emergency areas, as well as for the rescuers’ rest during the liquidation of accidents. The point of switching to self-rescuers contains a housing in which open chambers are installed for changing self-rescuers, each of which is connected through a valve to a source of fresh air under pressure and contains containers for backup and used self-rescuers, equipped with entrance and exit vestibules with sealed doors, and in the vestibules, there are sources of fresh air to create a breathable environment in the point atmosphere. Additionally, it contains a mains air inlet fitting, which is connected to the first inlet of a three-way tap, a pressurized fresh air source is connected to the second inlet of a three-way tap, and the outlet of a three-way tap is connected to fresh air supply nozzles located throughout the entire volume of the housing.

EFFECT: increase in safety due to the extension of the period of maintaining a breathable atmosphere of the switching point to self-rescuers.
