SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brake equipment of railway vehicles, in particular to disc brakes. A brake unit of a disc brake of a railway vehicle contains a case, a brake cylinder connected to levers pressing brake pads to the brake disc, a two-link mechanism is fixed in a brake unit structure, connected, from one side, to the case of the brake unit, and from the other side, to brake pads, links of which are pivotally connected to each other and can rotate around and move along axes.

EFFECT: simplification of a structure simultaneously with increase in the reliability of operation of a brake unit of a disc brake of a railway vehicle being operated, elimination of wedge wear of brake pads.
