FIELD: paints.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of composite paint materials intended for interior painting on paper, canvas, plastered cement, glass, plexiglass, with the coating strength and durability, providing the possibility of applying a wide colour palette. Paint composition intended for use as liquid pastel contains an amorphous silica, colour pigment, chalk, barium sulphate, and a binding substance - gum arabic, wherein the pastel additionally contains oligobutadiene urethane methacrylate, dibutyl phthalate, oligoether acrylate, ionol, camphorquinone, benzoate, aerosil, ethyl acetate, wherein chalk constitutes a super-finely ground powder with a fraction in the range from 0.001 to 0.01 mm. Method for applying the composition in interior painting includes applying the paint composition onto a surface in one or multiple layers, followed by creating a gradient fill by midtones in order to create a pattern, fixing each layer, and the finished painting, wherein the composition is applied in interior painting using a liquid composition with a 19 to 25 second conditional viscosity thereof according to the viscometer B3-4 at a temperature of 20°C according to GOST 8420-74, the composition being applied onto the surface in one or multiple layers while creating a background, a drawing, details of the image in each layer using a brush, a roller, an air brush, a palette knife, or a sponge, fixing each layer by exposure to UV light λ=400 to 500 nm for 10 to 30 seconds.
EFFECT: expanded range of possibilities for an artist of using various techniques in interior painting by applying the liquid composition, creating the possibility of multiple artistic adjustments by exposing fragments of the drawing and the whole finished painting to UV light λ=400 to 500 nm, while the smell of the composition is neutral.
