FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for monitoring a state of a circuit claimed in the invention includes establishing a signal of a known base level for a specific type of a circuit (each with some difference from the others) and determining characteristics of these circuits in the form of angular components of leading and trailing edges (at a point of transition through zero), voltage (amplitude) and period (duration) of an oscillatory signal. Ideally, the angular component of a rectangular signal should be located vertically, or at an angle of 90 degrees relatively to the “x” axis (fig. 2). An irregular rectangular signal of a base level consisting of current, voltage, any harmonics of these signals, or a combination of these signals that optimally displays the predictive measurement, is assigned to a specific type of a controlled circuit. Future signal forms indicate the rate of degradation, based on collected values of angular components, amplitude and period at points of transition through zero (fig. 3 and 4) when comparing them with the base level signal and/or the previously known oscillatory signal of a specific observed section of the circuit. The degradation rate is included in the prediction to determine the expected service life of a particular chain.
EFFECT: technical result of the implementation of the claimed solution is providing the user with real-time predicting tools in order to introduce effective preventive maintenance into practice; the device and the communication network that includes it allow one to forward the making of these important decisions to a centralized decision-making point.
