SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and pharmacology; it is intended for the production of an agent based on high-molecular chitosan polymer with hemostatic action and action contributing to fibrin polymerization in the body. A method for the production of a hemostatic composition includes chitosan and 4-6% yarrow grass infusion in a solvent. Yarrow grass is mixed in the solvent for at least 30-40 min at 37-38°C, and then, supernatant liquid is separated, to which chitosan is added, at a final concentration of 1-3%.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows for an increase in procoagulant and fibrin-polymerizing activity.
