FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to herbicidal compositions. A method for the production of a herbicide composition for suppression of the growth of auxin-susceptible plants includes the combination of (i) auxin herbicide or its agriculturally acceptable salt, (ii) monocarboxylate, and (iii) water, and optionally non-auxin herbicide, in which: auxin herbicide is selected from dicamba or its agriculturally acceptable salt, 2,4-D or its agriculturally acceptable salt, and mixtures thereof; monocarboxylate is selected from a group consisting of potassium formate, sodium formate, potassium acetate, sodium acetate, potassium propionate, sodium propionate, potassium benzoate, sodium benzoate, and combinations thereof, and in which the specified combination includes: provision of a herbicide composition concentrate including auxin herbicide and optionally non-auxin herbicide, having a total herbicide concentration from 120 to 600 g C.E./l; addition of monocarboxylate to the herbicide composition concentrate, and dilution of the herbicide composition concentrate with water to form a herbicide composition having a total herbicide concentration from 0.1 to 50 g C.E./ l, in which monocarboxylate is present in the herbicide composition at a concentration from 1 to 250 g C.E./ l. The method for the production of the herbicide composition includes options, in which monocarboxylate is added to a diluted herbicide composition, or monocarboxylate is formed in situ as a result of mixing of monocarboxylic acid and a base, when added to the herbicide composition concentrate or to the diluted herbicide composition.

EFFECT: proposed method for the production of a herbicide composition provides a herbicide composition with low volatility for suppression of the growth of an auxin-susceptible plant on agricultural and non-agricultural land.
