SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mass spectrometry and charged particle optics. The multipole electrode system contains extended main electrodes (1) of a circular profile located symmetrically in symmetry planes (4) intersecting the common axis (2) of the multipole, as well as additional extended electrodes (3) located symmetrically relative to the symmetry planes (4) of the main cylindrical electrodes (one). The main electrodes have a potential of alternating polarity, and the potential of the additional electrodes is a multiple of or equal to the potential of the nearby main electrode.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the working field of a multipole electrode system of circular profile electrodes while maintaining the simplicity of its manufacture.
