FIELD: documents technical examination.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining the term for applying dyes to paper refers to the examination of documents, namely, to a method for determining the term for applying handwritten texts of a document, the strokes of which are made with ink ballpoint, gel, rollerball pens, etc. The invention can be used during a technical examination for determining authenticity banking, accounting, handwritten documents, in investigative and judicial practice. The method for determining the term for applying colorants to a paper carrier includes the steps of obtaining a spectrum of colorants applied to a paper carrier; converting the received spectrum into a machine-readable ASCII format; determining the type of dye and solvent, which are part of the coloring matter, by the position of the signals in the spectrum by using a database; calculating the coefficient of the residual content of the solvent or dye; determining the application age of the at least one colorant based on the database of coefficients of the residual content of the solvent or colorant. Wherein the determination of the type of solvent and dye and the age of application of the coloring matter is carried out using at least a measurement of one spectrum of coloring substances deposited on a paper carrier.

EFFECT: claimed method provides automation, versatility of the method and increased accuracy of determining the date of application of dyes.
