The method for increasing the strength of the surface of a gemstone in a jewelry item is characterized by the fact that the geometric dimensions of the precious stone are measured, a graphene film is produced to cover the precious stone, and the film is cut according to the marking using laser cutting, a piece of jewelry with a precious stone is made ready for applying the prepared graphene film to it; at the same time, two or three legs of the fastener are bent on the surface of the precious stone, the prepared film of graphene is applied from the outside to the precious stone, and to hold the film, the previously bent legs are folded back to their original position, pressing the thin film against the stone, after which the assembly of the thin protective film of graphene is controlled on the surface of the gem of the jewelry.
