FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection and can be used to assess the quality of high-performance air purification filters used in ventilation and air conditioning systems, in technological systems. A method for controlling high-performance air purification filters includes obtaining a control aerosol with solid particles, charging aerosol particles in the electric field of a pulsed corona discharge and measuring their charge before and after the tested filter and calculating the breakthrough coefficient. The control aerosol is obtained by chemical interaction of gaseous reagents in a filtered carrier gas stream, then the control aerosol stream is divided into two streams, the aerosol particles contained in the first stream are charged and their charge is measured, the aerosol particles contained in the second stream are first passed through the test the filter is then charged and their charge is measured, and the breakthrough coefficient is calculated from the ratio of the charge of the particles of the second stream to the charge of the particles of the first stream.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the results of monitoring high-performance air purification filters.
