In the method, alarms are received from sensor and wireless network equipment, equipment is identified by analyzing the contents of the alarm signal using the domain ontology and classifier, the attribute of the class of objects for machine learning is determined, the type of failure is determined, semantic connections are established between the classes of objects of the ontology and with devices and with the values of the parameters of classified objects and with the contents of alarms, and then the classified objects and the values of their parameters are transmitted to the input of the computer program of machine learning in machine-readable form, and a prediction of the sign of failure or the conditions for the occurrence of the event of failure of the equipment of sensor and wireless networks in both graphical and machine-readable form is received.

EFFECT: reduction in the number of errors in predicting failures of sensor and wireless network equipment.
