METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE MOUNT OF THE BRAKE SHOE OF A TRAIN CAR BRAKE BEAM Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B61H13/34

FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: when assembling the mount of the brake shoe of a brake beam, a brake shoe 19, a tip of the brake beam 20, and an elastic element 16 are installed on the brake beam frame 15. A guide roller 12 is screwed into the threaded hole of the brake beam string 18 by means of a threaded protrusion 13 with metric screw-thread M10. A wedge ring 11 is installed, and a central sleeve 9 is installed on the guide roller until the central sleeve comes in contact with the wedge ring. A clutch apparatus is installed on the brake beam frame, the base is secured by means of a mounting hole 7 matching the cross-sectional contour of the brake beam frame. By rotating the handle 5 of the screw 4, the elastic element is compressed, acting on the central sleeve with the bottom 6 of the screw 4, wherein the sleeve has a groove 14 for preventing wrong mutual positioning of the bottom 6 and the central sleeve, while the central sleeve has an internal hole for the coaxial alignment with the guide roller. The compressive force is transmitted from the bottom of the screw via the central sleeve to the wedge ring and to the elastic element, wherein the screw needs to be turned 3 to 4 times to install the collets 17. The two collets are installed, the screw 4 is rotated in the opposite direction while holding the collets in order to decompress the elastic element and secure the collets in the conical grooves of the wedge ring and the brake beam string. By rotating the screw handle, the bottom of the screw and the central sleeve are released from interaction. The clutch apparatus is removed from the brake beam frame, followed by the central sleeve, and the guide roller is unscrewed from the brake beam string.

EFFECT: higher operating reliability of the clutch apparatus and ensured safety of works.
