FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil and gas well drilling, namely to water-based process fluids used to strengthen well intervals represented by unstable deposits. The proposed process fluid is intended for injection into the interval of unstable clay-argillite deposits of the well and helps to prevent screes and collapses of the walls of the well. The composition of the proposed process fluid includes: sodium or potassium silicate for filling and bonding pores and cracks in the walls of the well, potassium chloride and polyethylene glycol to inhibit the process of clay hydration, carboxymethyl cellulose to create a “cross-linked” structure of the injected fluid, sulfonated asphalt and oxidized bitumen to hydrophobize the surface of the walls wells with the following content of components, wt. %: sodium or potassium silicate - 4.5-7.0; carboxymethylcellulose - 1.5-3.5; potassium chloride - 9.0-15.0; polyethylene glycol - 0.1-0.4; sulfonated asphalt and oxidized bitumen (Ingidol GGL) - 1.0-3.0; water is the rest.

EFFECT: proposed process fluid provides inhibition of the process of hydration of the clay component of unstable deposits, hydrophobizes the surface of the well walls, holds together unstable rocks due to silicification - the formation of silicon gel.
