FIELD: material processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating structure for sheet substrate containing cellulose fibers and to a sheet product. The structure contains at least one preliminary coating layer and an upper coating layer. The preliminary coating layer(s) and the upper coating layer contain 10-90% by wt. of (meth)acrylate and styrene copolymer, which is polymerized in the presence of a stabilizer, and a glass transition temperature of which is Tg ≤ 20°C. The preliminary coating layer(s) contains polysaccharide. The upper coating layer contains 5-60% by wt. of at least one water-soluble binding coating, which is selected from polysaccharides and polyvinyl alcohols, as well as no more than 5.0% by wt. of a crosslinker, which reacts with -OH or -COOH groups.
EFFECT: barrier coating for a sheet product is provided, which has good grease proofness, resistance to water steam impact, and resistance to cracking, when crumpling and/or bending.
