SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of producing firefighting rescue ropes intended for securing firefighters when extinguishing fires and during the associated emergency rescue work. Apparatus for tightening the knot consists of a base with a perpendicular support pad secured thereon, two stiffeners, an axle of rotation, a support and friction roller with notches, and a pivoted lever with a toothed clamp, installed on the roller eccentrically to the axle of rotation. The support and friction roller with notches is secured on the axle between the stiffeners. A funnel-shaped centring guide sleeve and a through groove connecting the sleeve with the support pad are located on the support pad.

EFFECT: increase in the force of tightening the knot compared to manual tightening by 2 to 15 times with a simultaneous increase in the strength of securing the knot.
