SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of energy and may be used in the oil and gas industries to generate electricity using natural and associated petroleum gas. A method for generating electricity using a mixture of natural and associated petroleum gas in a gas turbine plant, which is that a low-pressure compressor sucks in outside air, partially compressing and heating the air to produce partially compressed and partially heated air, then partially compressed air leaves the compressor and is sent to a high-pressure compressor, where it is completely compressed and heated to produce fully compressed and heated air, then fully compressed and heated air enters the combustion chamber, while at the same time a mixture of associated petroleum gas and natural gas is fed into the combustion chamber through fuel pipes in the ratio of natural gas : associated petroleum gas = from 75-25% to 25-75% to produce the gas-air mixture, then the mixture of natural gas and associated petroleum gas is burned and a hot gas jet is obtained to be supplied to the turbine blades, performing at this useful work, spinning the main shaft thus causing generation of electricity in the generator connected to the main shaft, after burning fuel in the air, the resulting hot air stream from the combustion chambers is directed to the working blades of power turbines, thereby doing useful work on the main shaft, and then exhaust hot gas exits the power turbines, enters the exhaust cavity and exits therethrough into the environment. Also a gas turbine plant with a preliminary block for mixing natural and associated petroleum gas in predetermined ratios for implementing the method according to the invention is presented.
