FIELD: petrochemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: removal of acidic contaminants from oil refinery waste. The alkaline preparation contains the following components, in % by weight: sodium hydroxide - 5.5-15.5; surfactants: amine oxide and alkyl polyglucoside - 1.5-2.5 and 1-2, respectively; ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) - 0.5-1; phenolphthalein - 0.01; water - the rest.
EFFECT: reduction in the redox-potential and increase in the reducing ability of the system.
