FIELD: protection of armoured vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of additional protection of the body of an armoured vehicle, made in the form of at least one flexible screen installed with overlapping of the protected area of the front/aft projection of the body. The flexible screen is formed from at least two protective modules located predominantly at an angle in the working position, connected by at least one strong flexible elastic connection, made with the possibility of bending the module(-s) into the body elements until the stop when the vehicle hits an obstacle. One of the modules is made with an element that ensures its rotation on the axis or coaxial axes, rigidly fixed on the body or itself. Each module contains at least one front armour plate and at least one rear plate with at least one inner layer located between them. According to the first variant, the flexible screen is held by at least two braces that are shortened in length and are in the expanded state, which withstand tensile loads when the screen is bent until the contact of the modules and the body elements; the braces are fixed on opposite sides in the transverse direction from the axis of rotation of the rotary module and its connection with its adjacent module. According to the second variant, the screen is held by at least one clamp, which limits the rotation of the rotary module on the axis(axes), which is shortened in length, being in the expanded state, by a brace fixed on the other side in the transverse direction from the axis of rotation of the rotary module and its connection with the adjacent module. According to the third variant, the screen is made with the possibility of bending directly unconnected with the housing module(-s) to the elements of the housing as a result of external influence and is held by at least one clamp, excluding the rotation of at least one rotary module on the axis(axes), while the connection(-s) is (are) made with the possibility of holding in the working position directly unconnected with the module’s (-s’) housing.
EFFECT: effective protection of the frontal and aft projections of the hull from kinetic and cumulative armour-piercing weapons.
