FIELD: electric hair dryer.

SUBSTANCE: electric hair dryer (1) for drying hair, comprising an electric motor (2) for an electric hair dryer, equipped with a motor shaft (2a) rotatable around the axis (X) of rotation, an impeller (3) combined with the motor shaft (2a) and having the base part (3a) and the head part (3b) opposite the base part (3a), the protective device (4) of the electric motor (2) containing at least one barrier element (4a) configured to intercept objects that can penetrate through hair dryer suction grill (1) for drying hair; a hollow containing element (4b) with an opening (4c) for at least partially accommodating said electric motor (2). The electric motor (2) contains a zone (2b) facing the impeller (3), in which the motor shaft (2a) runs along the axis (X) of rotation. Zone (2b) defines the radial plane (P). The protective device (4) is partially located around the axis (X) of rotation at a distance from the base part (3a) of the impeller (3) greater than or equal to the distance (D) between the base part (3a) of the impeller (3) and the radial plane (P). The enclosing element (4b) is configured to hold at least the barrier element (4a) in the axial direction from the radial plane (P) along the rotation axis (X) at a distance greater than or equal to the distance (D) between the base part (3a) of the impeller (3) and the radial plane (P) in the working configuration of the hair dryer (1) for drying hair.

EFFECT: present invention prevents hair from being drawn into the body of the hair dryer itself.
