AMMUNITION WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENT Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC F42B5/145

Abstract RU 2794904 C1

FIELD: ammunition loading.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of unitary or separate ammunition loading stabilized by plumage and can be used to localize forest and steppe fires, as well as burning oil and all oil products, by delivering ammunition to the target from large-calibre smooth-bore weapons. Ammunition with fire-extinguishing equipment contains a cylindrical body made in form of a rotary body revolving around its axis of symmetry with an internal through cavity, on one side of which a fairing is made, in which a remote fuse is installed, configured to initiate ignition of the expelling charge, and on the other side, in the inner through cavity, a bottom is installed, with a diaphragm with a radial seal, made with the possibility of moving along the axis of symmetry of the body, a rod, the axis of which is parallel to the axis of symmetry of the body, and a knockout plug. The cylindrical body of the ammunition with two built-in obturating belts located on the centring bulges is made with the possibility of placing behind the bottom of the body of the stacking unit and ejecting a domed parachute with a hole at the extreme end, and water is used as liquid equipment in the internal through cavity. Four flow channels are built into the bottom body, arranged coaxially, one opposite the other, in a cross shape, and ending with a cone slot closed by a knockout plug, made with the possibility of jet distribution and radial dispersion of water into the air space from the side surface of the ammunition body. Holes for pouring liquid and air outlet are placed linearly on the side surface of the housing and are made with threaded metal covers. The rod is made in form of a tube with the possibility of additional passage through it of powder gases from the expelling charge to the parachute unit, consisting of a piston made with an upper end cavity, sling fasteners, a packed dome, a retaining ring and an expelling protective membrane, and on the side surface of the body, between the channels along their centre, there are four blades of the stabilizer of axial fastening, having the shape of a rectangle with a bevelled profile of the angle of attack of 1.5 degrees, laid horizontally, relative to the axis of symmetry of the body in elongated grooves.

EFFECT: obtaining particles of a certain dispersion when spraying the liquid equipment of the ammunition.
