FIELD: football footwear.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to shoes that are worn when playing football. A football shoe or football boot comprises a sole and an upper. The top comprises a ball control area comprising a central area and one or more protrusions on each side of the central area, said one or more protrusions on each side defining one ridge along the central area. The ridges are parallel or converge inwardly in the forward direction of the shoe or boot, at least in its filled configuration. The central region between the ridges is convex so that, at least in the filled shoe or boot configuration, at least the top of the central region rises above the ridges. The top comprises a cut-out area formed by the flexible material of the top and is that part of the top that is generally behind the toe and behind the cut line and in front of the wearer's ankle. The ridges on each side of the central region lie in the notched region. The central area and the ridges of the ball control area are configured to come into contact with the ball during the kick.
EFFECT: improving the feel of the ball when hitting the ball and reduce the extra mass, while providing the user with additional hitting power and accuracy.
