SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the control of plant diseases. The use of a composition containing tolprocarb as the sole active ingredient and a carrier are disclosed for the control of plant disease being bacterial leaf spot of rice, bacterial browning of rice scales, Chinese cabbage (Erwinia) wet rot, bacterial leaf spot of cucumbers (Pseudomonas), black cabbage rot (Xanthomonas), cucumber powdery mildew, cucumber downy mildew, tomato powdery mildew, cabbage wet rot (Erwinia), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), or rice streak virus (RSV). Also a method of using a composition containing tolprocarb as the sole active ingredient and a carrier by treating a plant or soil to control a plant disease are disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides high activity, even if the amount of the active ingredient applied to the medium at the disease site is small, and does not lead to phytotoxicity for plants.
