FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in moving the harvesting unit across the field, combing grain sorghum plants on the vine by the harvesting unit, transporting the grain separated during stripping into a grain container. The container filled with grain is replaced with an empty container. The grab of a container filled with grain is carried out by a mobile robot, with the help of which it is transported to a grain reloader installed at the edge of the field. Then the grain is unloaded from the container into the reloader of grain. Next, an empty container is delivered by a mobile robot to the harvesting unit and installed on it. The plants combed at the root are cut off with a reaper, crushed and scattered over the field.
EFFECT: creation of the technical possibility of harvesting the grain part of the crop into replaceable containers without stopping the sorghum harvester, transportation of the replaceable containers filled with grain to the reloaders of grain and their unloading without the use of heavy vehicles and lifting devices, as well as the return and installation of empty replaceable containers on the sorghum harvester.
