SUBSTANCE: vertical ball mill contains a rotor fixed in the axial and radial direction at the upper end and hanging down, a stator radially surrounding the rotor, not loaded by the mass of the rotor, installed without the use of additional elements and having a side surface oriented tangentially to the rotor and having a cylindrical shape with mould tolerance, and base plate. The stator contains at least two stator segments separated from each other, installed without support separately from each other and movable relative to each other, each of them contains at least one side edge of the wall extending from the upper edge of the wall forming the side surface to the bottom edge of the wall, a sealing surface for sealing against another stator segment in each case, and on the bottom edge a bearing surface sized to suit the load and designed to seal against the base plate.
EFFECT: invention provides high efficiency during use.
