FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designs of drive boxes for drive units of bypass gas turbine engines, and can be used in gas turbine engines for aviation applications. The invention relates to the placement, connection and spatial orientation of units mounted on a box of drive units: fuel (drive and non-drive) units that supply fuel to the combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine, and oil units that supply oil for cooling and lubrication of bearings and gears. Fuel units are installed not only on both sides of the fuel unit adapter, but also some of the fuel units, for example, the fuel pump unit, are installed on the opposite side of the drive box body, and the fuel lines of these units are connected to the fuel unit adapter using moulded channels located directly in the drive box body. At the same time, the heaviest unit, e.g., the fuel pump unit and the fuel dispenser, are installed on the drive box body and the fuel unit adapter, which are not located on the cantilever part of the fuel unit adapter, so the weight of these units is taken by the drive box body itself. Relatively light units are installed on the cantilevered part of the fuel unit adapter: the fuel-oil heat exchanger unit, the main fuel filter and the last chance filter, so the load acting from the gravity of these units will be insignificant and the fuel unit adapter will not need to be made oversized and massive.
EFFECT: significant reduction of the longitudinal arrangement of the fuel units and the dimensions of the fuel unit adapter.
