SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for controlling unwanted vegetation. A synergistically effective herbicidal composition contains a herbicide active amount of pyridate as component (A) and mesotrione as component (B), while the weight ratio of components (A) and (B) is in the range from 0.1:1 to 35:1. A synergistically effective herbicidal composition may be presented in the form of a kit containing one or more spatially separated components to be applied as a herbicidal composition containing a herbicide active amount of pyridate and mesotrione, the components being intended for simultaneous, separate or sequential application.
EFFECT: proposed herbicidal composition expands the arsenal of means for controlling unwanted vegetation, is not subject to the decomposition of active components, and does not antagonize the biological activity of the components in the composition.
