FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for connecting reinforcing bars during the assembly and installation of reinforcing cages. The clamp for reinforcing bars consists of two identical support elements and a locking device. Each supporting element is made in form of a square plate, along the longitudinal and transverse axes of which a cross-shaped recess of triangular or semi-oval cross-section is formed. The locking device consists of two rods and two holes on each support element. The rods are fixed in the corners of the square plate diagonally from the side of the cross-shaped recess, and the indicated holes are made in the corners along the other diagonal on each square plate. On each rod, periodic hooks are formed in the form of a series of triangular prisms, located along the rod and fixed to it. In an embodiment, the locking device consists of two rods and two recesses on each support element. Said rods are fixed in the corners of the square plate diagonally from the side of the cross-shaped recess, and the indicated recesses are made along the other diagonal in the corners of each square plate. The rods are made in form of corner, square or triangular profiles with periodic hooks in the form of a series of identical outer profile corners with a triangular profile and the hooks are oriented towards each other. The supporting element and the rod of the locking device can be made of a polymer material with elastic properties or of thin sheet metal. The fastener is connected by pressing the fingers, without the use of additional tools and mechanisms, which makes it possible to increase labour productivity when assembling frames for reinforced concrete structures and reduce labour-intensive operations.

EFFECT: simplification of the process of fixing reinforcing bars and increase of reliability of the connection unit.
