FIELD: military.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to target indication and hit detection systems. A method for determining a hit on a target projected or applied to targets, in which the target is illuminated with infrared radiation, and the image of the hole formed by the bullet is obtained by a video camera in the infrared range and displayed in the target image, respectively projecting onto the target or on the monitor screen. To ensure that the location of the images of the bullet holes is identical to the actual location of the bullet holes on the target, the image of the target with the bullet holes is converted. To determine the image transformation, a set of marks applied to the target is used.
EFFECT: variants of the method make it possible to increase the accuracy of determining the location of the hit on the target relative to the target.
