METHOD FOR BANDAGING PLANTS GRAFTING Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A01G2/38 

FIELD: horticulture.

SUBSTANCE: used for grafting fruit, ornamental trees and shrubs. The method includes harvesting, cutting, preparation of rootstock and graft cuttings, joining the rootstock with the graft by the copulation method, and subsequent bandaging of the grafting site. The bandage consists of two layers: the first inner layer of the bandage is an elastic fabric tube 0.5-1.5 cm wide and 6-9 cm long, pre-impregnated with a 0.005% epin solution and dried. The second outer layer of the bandage is a heat-shrinkable tube with a diameter of 1-3 cm and a length of 5-8 cm, which has a tear-off tape along the entire length of the tube, formed by two perforation lines. The tear-off tape has a protruding tongue, on which a ring with a diameter of 1.5-2.5 cm is fixed. After installing a two-layer bandage, the heat-shrinkable tube shrinks with a stream of heated air. After the graft and rootstock grow together, the heat-shrinkable tube is torn along the perforation lines with the help of a ring, the elastic fabric tube is pulled to the side of the graft and is cut off.

EFFECT: protection of the graft and rootstock with a two-layer bandage at the grafting site, protection of the grafting site from exposure to high temperature when the bandage is installed, exclusion of injury to the graft and rootstock when removing the bandage, as well as stimulation of the fusion of the graft and rootstock with a physiologically active substance.
