SUBSTANCE: method of defrosting bulk cargo located in cars is to heat the surface of the cars with saturated or superheated steam, which is supplied into the space between the awning cover, which covers the surface of the car as closely as possible to the level of the wheelsets or floor of the car, and the outer surface of the car through pipes located under the lower the edges of the awning cover outside the car on both sides. The device contains a system for heating the outer surface of cars located indoors on railway rails with a hot coolant, which contains pipes for supplying saturated or superheated steam into the space between the awning cover, which covers the surface of the car as closely as possible to the level of the wheelsets or floor of the car, and the outer surface of the car in direction of its unloading.
EFFECT: reduced duration of defrosting of frozen bulk cargo located in cars, energy and labour costs for defrosting, and also improved safety of this process.
