FIELD: belt conveyor.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method for maintaining a belt conveyor (2) containing a longitudinal conveyor belt (3) and a plurality of support stations (5) distributed along it, each of which contains a tray (9) on which the conveyor belt (3) rests. The method includes the steps of: introducing an inflatable cushion (27) in a deflated state under the conveyor belt (3) at a lifting point next to one of the support stations (5); inflating the inflatable cushion (27) to an inflated state in which the conveyor belt (3) rests directly on the inflatable cushion (27) and no longer rests on the tray (9) of the support station (5); performing maintenance of said reference station (5); releasing the fluid from the inflatable cushion (27) until it is deflated.
EFFECT: facilitation of maintenance of the belt conveyor.
