SUBSTANCE: invention is related to testing installations, and is intended for testing samples for fatigue (cyclic strength) under circular bending and can be used in educational, factory and research laboratories. The installation in the first embodiment contains a base with test samples mounted on it, grips with collet clamps hinge mounted on a movable and fixed rack, a device for bending samples, including rods, a cardan shaft, couplings, an electric motor, a revolution counter, a switch, and a crack formation control system. The crack formation control system includes a direct current source, a high-precision voltmeter or ammeter, a signal processing and recording device, a relay that controls power to the electric motor, and the direct current source is capable of supplying an electric current of known strength and voltage to the sample. The installation in the second embodiment contains a base with test samples fixed on it, grips with collet clamps hinge mounted on a movable and fixed rack, a device for bending samples, including rods, a cardan shaft, couplings, an electric motor, a revolution counter, a switch, and a crack formation control system. The crack formation control system includes a high-frequency alternating current source, high-precision voltmeters or ammeters, a signal processing and recording device, a relay that controls power to the electric motor, and the high-frequency alternating current source is configured to supply an electric current to the sample, forming an alternating magnetic field of known configuration around the sample. A number of coils are placed next to the sample, configured to induce electromotive force through an alternating magnetic field, each coil being connected to a primary transducer that serves to amplify the signal, and a high-precision voltmeter or ammeter.

EFFECT: ability to accurately determine the moment of crack formation during fatigue testing of samples during circular bending.
