FIELD: information retrieval.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for detection, based on a given image, of graphic files of similar content in a collection of images. The claimed solution provides: a graphical user interface for data entry, as well as sequentially executed interconnected blocks: a search collection generation block, a user query generation block, a block for generating a metric assessment of the similarity of two images, which uses image hashing using convolutional neural networks that take into account only the pixels of the image, a block for calculating the measure of similarity of the query image with each image from the search collection, a block for outputting the search result, while in the block for generating a metric assessment the following are sequentially executed: a block for determining the number of classes in the image, a block for determining key points in the image, image hashing block.
EFFECT: increase of the accuracy of image search by content on a computer or portable device.
