SUBSTANCE: invention is proposed to increase the fault tolerance of multiprotocol equipment (MPE) and a fault-tolerant cluster of firewalls (FW). It is achieved due to the fact that in a hardware and software complex to ensure secure data exchange between technical means of terminal automated systems (101, 102), containing software stacks (103, 104), fault-tolerant FW clusters (105, 106), and software (107), MPE hardware and software, and the FW cluster are implemented in a fault-tolerant design using both hardware redundancy methods and software redundancy methods at the data link and network levels. A server for centralized management (108) of FW clusters (105, 106) is connected to the redundant network software (107), each of which is connected to technical means for generating rules in the firewall format (109, 110), which in turn are connected to hardware and software automated rule accounting system for threat databases (111).

EFFECT: increasing the fault tolerance of multiprotocol equipment (MPE) and a fault-tolerant cluster of firewalls (FW).
