FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: used to extract gold by thiocyanate leaching from ores and ore products. The method includes thiocyanate leaching of gold with sulfuric acid thiocyanate solutions in the presence of Fe3+ ions. In this case, the leaching of gold is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, gold leaching is carried out at a molar ratio of Fe3+/SCN- in the leaching solution of not less than 2 and not more than 3, with a ratio of mass concentrations of sulfuric acid and thiocyanate H2SO4/SCN- not more than 20. At the second stage, leaching is carried out at a molar ratio of Fe3+/SCN- from less than 0.5 to at least 0.1, at a ratio of mass concentrations of sulfuric acid and thiocyanate H2SO4/SCN- not more than 5.
EFFECT: increase in gold extraction during thiocyanate leaching of ores and ore products.
