SUBSTANCE: device for taking soil samples is disclosed, including a sampler mounted on a rod, locking anchors, a support plate with grooves for locking anchors and clamps, a power device for deepening the sampler into the soil and removing it from the well, which is connected to a sleeve mounted on the rod. In this case, the power device is made in the form of a guide post and two auxiliary posts, rigidly fixed to the base plate, on which, in turn, the upper support is fixed, a movable carriage mounted on the guide post and equipped with a recess frame and an extraction roller, a winch with a transmission mechanism from a reversible electric motor and a two-section drum with a partition between the sections and two cables, one of which is fixed at one end to one of the drum sections, and the other end through an intermediate roller installed at the lower end of one of the auxiliary racks, and the depth roller is fixed with a lock on the lower end of another auxiliary rack, the other cable is secured with one end to the other section of the drum, and the other end through an intermediate roller installed at the upper end of the first auxiliary rack, and the extraction roller is secured with a clamp at the upper end of the other auxiliary rack, as well as a depth stop fixed at the top end of the rod, a motor switch mounted on the carriage, and a motor switch mounted on the top support, control panel and battery. A method for taking soil samples using the specified device is also disclosed.

EFFECT: effectively carry out soil sampling in an automatic mode without the use of manual labor of an operator and a vehicle in the process of deepening the sampler into the soil and removing it from a well more than 0.5 m deep, including in experimental plots of selective crops.
